This website serves solely to present my academic work and to provide information about projects and publications.

No analytics tools, tracking services, advertising networks, or other external services are used. Likewise, no external fonts, libraries, or third-party content are embedded.

Personal data is processed only to the extent technically necessary to provide the website and to ensure its security and stability.

The person responsible within the meaning of applicable data protection laws is listed in the imprint of this website.

Technically Necessary Processing of Access Data

When accessing this website, the IP address of the requesting device is processed briefly in order to ensure the stability and security of the server and to detect potentially abusive requests (for example automated requests or DDoS attacks).

For this purpose, the number of requests originating from a specific IP address may be temporarily evaluated within a short time window.

This processing takes place only transiently in the server’s volatile memory and is not permanently stored or logged.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in protecting the technical infrastructure and ensuring the stable operation of this website.

Settings Stored in Your Browser

If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so that it is applied on your next visit. Which portrait picture is shown is remembered in session storage for the duration of the browser tab.

If you view the site in a language other than the one your browser prefers, a cookie named NEXT_LOCALE stores that language so that the start page opens in it on your next visit. The cookie is strictly necessary for this purpose (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG) and therefore requires no consent. It contains only the language code, is sent to this server with each request, and is deleted when you close your browser.

All of these entries exist only to display the page the way you prefer. They contain no personal data, are not passed on to third parties, and can be removed at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
